This cast glass mural, consisting of 48 screens, is inspired by the Yuan dynasty painting Dwelling in the Fuyu Mountain in the collection of the Shanghai Museum. With its record-breaking dimensions – 27 meters in length by 7.5 meters in height, weighing 30 tons – this work is now the world’s biggest glass mural. Adapting traditional glass making techniques, this massive work perfectly represents the elegant landscape of Jiangnan depicted in the original painting. The mountains and waters glitter with the time-transcending poetic appeal, showcasing the infinite charm and brilliance of Chinese culture. Each piece of glass incorporates the wisdom and ingenuity of glass making traditions, celebrating the spirit of integrity and innovation of the Chinese civilization.

DESIGN STATEMENT
The design concept draws inspiration from the wind‑eroded rock textures of desert landscapes, aspiring to make the architecture appear as if it were a crystal growing from the earth.
